Our editorial team

Mario Capozzoli, Agrarian
Mario is the editor of greatgrandmother.org and owner of King's Grant Farm, first settled in Sunapee in 1769. A classically-trained chef, Mario began working in his parents' Italian restaurants at age six and has since been on the culinary staff at other restaurants, traveled many of the world's great wine regions, cultivated his own high bush blueberries, consulted on community projects, and planted his own crops.

His passions are cooking with locally-sourced organic foods, connecting with neighbors througout New England, writing, and spreading the word to kids and their parents about the value of a sustainable, fair, and just food system.

Mario's goal is to make a positive difference in his small part of the world.

Our Community Partners

Our friend at the Upper Valley Localvores, keeping us alert to the latest fresh seasonal produce and sharing with us the enjoyments of our short growing season. Three cheers for our collaborator and friend Pat McGovern!

KC Wright and her team at edible White Mountains magazine. KC and her husband Barry have been superb supporters of our work and continue to produce a top-flight magazine celebrating all that is good about healthy food and living in New Hampshire.

Scott and Laura Morrison of Capital City Organic Gardeners. What started as a friendly sharing of ideas has blossomed into a truly supportive relationship. Laura and Scott are inspired leaders in the organic movement and have re-shaped the community gardening landscape in Concord.

The Northeast Organic Farmers of New Hampshire (NOFA-NH) crew, who never fails to support us among New Hampshire's organic community.

Henry Homeyer, Master Gardener, writer, organic gardening consultant, and bon vivant, is a true treasure for Granite Staters. Henry's great work and sage wisdom are found in our Great Gardens section, as a link to his web site.

Please send emails to: editor@greatgrandmother.org

We like to hear from you! If you have any suggestions, ideas, seasonal recipes, or other potential contributions, please send them along.

Already after a couple months of being an active site, we have received thousands of hits, click throughs, and visits, and many emails from all over the United States. We cannot promise to reply to every email, but we do promise to read each of them and consider their content.

So far, we concentrate on five core values plus seasonal gardening with no commerical ad support. We've been contacted by a couple of businesses interested in purchasing ad space, but thus far have decided not to accept it in an interest to keep the site clean and un-cluttered.

Thank you for your interest and support, from San Diego to Seattle, and from New Britain to Cape Cod.
